Safety

Safety has been at CIVPLEX a core value since the day we started the business. We have developed a culture that promotes an injury free environment and provides the safest workplace possible for our employees, subcontractors, clients and others who enter or are near our construction sites. An organised and effective safety program is developed for each location, where we prepare an OH&S Safety Plan for every site. The plan is project specific, meaning that we actually assess the projects individual risks and logistical issues.

Our site safety policy uses Work Cover approved systems that comply with all the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. No sub contract is let, until up-to-date workers compensation, liability insurances, and work method statements are provided. The later are reviewed by our construction managers.

The key to implementing any OH&S Safety Plan is our ability to communicate the various facets of our own safety plan. We achieve this by carrying out on site inductions.

All on site personnel are inducted and this process partly involves them being personally escorted around the site making them familiar with safety procedures. They are also asked to read and understand all on site procedures and their personal responsibilities under their own and our work method statements.

Providing a safe work environment is a priority and adherence to safety policies is a condition of employment because we recognise that safety is everyone's responsibility.
